Essential Information

Essential information you need to know before coming to New Zealand

Badges

Please ensure to wear your event badge at all times during the conference to gain access to all events, including lunches and social events (reception, gala dinner).

Liability and Insurance

Registration fees do not include the insurance of participants against personal accidents, sickness and cancellations by any party, theft, loss or damage to personal possessions.

Internet / WiFi

Wireless internet is available to conference participants in all rooms and atriums. The Wifi connection information will be sent privately to all attendees through Whova app/email.

Banks, Currency, Credit Cards

The local currency is the New Zealand dollar (NZD). Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport as well as at private exchange offices found throughout the city. There are many banks and ATMs close to both venues (AUT and Cordis).

Electricity

New Zealand’s electricity supply runs at 230/240 volts, and we use angled two or three pin plugs (the same as Australia and parts of Asia). Most hotels and motels provide 110 volt ac sockets (rated at 20 watts) for electric razors only. For all other equipment, an adapter/converter is necessary, unless the item has a multi-voltage option.
